Partners:

Raven Adventures
is our own travel adventure company that has been closely affiliated with The Global Classroom from the start.

We have at times combined forces with World School, Inc., a non-profit organization with ideas similar to The Global Classroom. In February and April 2003 we joined up with World School for trips to Baja and Costa Rica.

Parque Nacional Bahia de Loreto
Much of The Global Classroom's conservation and service work in Baja (largely toilet construction) is focused on a marine park in Loreto. This exceptional national park protects over 200,000 hectacres of the Sea of Cortez, home to thousands of incredible species of plants, birds, and marine mammals.(see map)

National Environmental Services Center
A group based out of West Virginia University, NESC helps to prevent drinking water, wastewater, and related environmental problems in small communities through training and technical assistance. NESC's Winter 2004 issue of Small Flows Quarterly, featured an article on the GCR's composting toilet project.

Rain forest:

Check out our friend Luis's rain forest webpage. Luis is a native of Santa Elena, Costa Rica and has been helping The Global Classroom project for many years.

The Rainforest Action Network works to protect the Earth's rain forests and support the rights of their inhabitants through education, grassroots organizing, and non-violent direct action.

The Tropical Rainforest Information Center, of Michigan State University provides a "Rain Forest Report Card," which includes lots of excellent rain forest information.

The Rainforest Alliance is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to the conservation of tropical forests for the benefit of the global community.

Join PBS to take a walk through the Costa Rican rain forest or visit other links on their Science in the Rain Forest page.

Costa Rica:

For a whole bunch of information on Monteverde and what to do there check out Monteverde info.

Environmental Issues:

The Sacred Earth Network believes that all of Nature is sacred and must be treated with respect and honor and that humanity must quickly restructure its relationship with the miraculous, interconnected living system that is our Earth. Many of their beliefs are closely related to those of The Global Classroom.

Global Impact Environmental offers information on recycling, composting, overpopulation, pollution, activism, global warming, and other pressing environmental issues.

Ecofuture is dedicated to sustainability and the ecological future of our planet.
