Baja, Mexico - Adventure and service under the stars

Global Classroom volunteers have been bringing participants to Baja Mexico since 1992, where they participate in a number of service projects, outdoor adventures, cultural learning experiences, and more. One of our biggest claims to fame in Baja is the Composting Toilet Project, which has helped reduce contamination on overused beaches there. Educational Service Trip offered in Baja, Mexico
The Global Classroom runs a trip to Baja each year that combines time on the beautiful beaches with group bonding and community service. This unforgettable experience is brought to you by our partner travel-adventure company, Raven Adventures. The link above will take you to the Raven site.

Our Composting Toilet Project, which got it's start in Baja
The Global Classroom has for several years been donating materials and labor needed to create "State of the Art" composting toilet systems. These systems are built in just 8 days and are much more eco-friendly than normal toilets. The toilets are constructed of materials found locally and will last for decades requiring minimal maintenance.

Mexico Memories
Many Global Classroom participants have traveled to Baja and have been greatly impacted by their experience. GEA in Baja
The Grupo Ecologista Antares is a group that works through the park system in Baja to help increase conservation efforts and awareness. The Global Classroom has worked with and assisted this group in several ways, helping with the establishment of an eco-center in downtown Loreto.
